PUPPY development

Raising a puppy shouldn't be that hard or costly, yet lots of people find it extremely difficult.

- My 10 week old puppy won't listen. How do I fix it?

- My puppy was friendly and liked everyone, but somehow he's now aggressive to his friends.

- She was shy but didn't bark at anything, but around 6 months she started reacting to noise so much she won't stop. Can you help?

I have heard these stories over the years, and still do. The key to fix all those issues is proper socialisation in early puppyhood. We socialise puppy to anything they may encounter in life, so they aren't overwhelmed when it actually happens. It's more than just playing with other puppies, but it's all about exposure, experience, and generalisation.

We recommend this program to first time dog owner or someone that got a new pup for the first time in a long time since the last one and don’t know where to start. Join our 5-weeks puppy development course to give your puppy socialisation and confidence building experiences.

  • What is the best age to start Puppy Development program?
Puppies between 8 and 24 weeks old can join this program provided they have completed their first vaccination (DHPPL) at least 10 days prior to the commencement of first lesson. One of the most important thing to do for your puppy is early socialisation. We recommend you start as early as possible while they're receptive to learning and everything new.
  • How long does each class take?
Each class runs for 1 hour for five weeks, within the class there will be multiple short training sessions and break time. Long training sessions are less productive, so we keep it short and fun to keep your puppy interested and not be bored or frustrated.
  • My vet told me not to take my puppy out. Can I take my 8 week old puppy out in public?
You absolutely can! From 8 to 16 weeks of your puppy's life is called 'critical period of socialisation'. As the name suggests, it's a short window of time where you can introduce the world to your puppy, and get them ready for the world. Your puppy must have lots of positive experience during this period to grow into a happy and social dog. So, consult with our professional trainer, be well prepared, and take your puppy to many places. Just avoid dog parks where there's high risk of interacting with unknown dogs, and your puppy is vulnerable to contracting a disease.
  • My puppy just had its third vaccination. Can my puppy still come to the class?
Yes, your puppy doesn't have to have completed its full vaccinations. You just need to provide the proof showing your puppy have completed its first vaccination at least 10 days prior to the commencement of the first class.
  • What do you teach in Puppy Development program?
Our Puppy Development program focuses on socialisation and confidence building. We teach puppies foundation for obedience, socialisation, exposure and experience activities, and interactive play. Every puppy is unique and different, and we give customised training plan for each of them.
